Harding University - Paul R. Carter College of Business

May 2016

B.B.A Management

B.B.A Marketing

While attending, Harding University’s Paul R. Carter College of Business I served as a leader amongst my peers - elected to head several academic projects and sat on the boards of two business specific committees- the Society for the Advancement of Management as Vice President and a senior member of the Paul R. Carter College of Business Student Advisory Board.

Spring of 2015, I received a NASA/ASGC Grant to develop a working database entitled “Arkansas Database of ASGC & EPSCoR Researchers”, to serve as an exclusive and secure internet accessible tool on the official ASGC website containing information such as individual research interests, discipline, University or College Affiliation, and citizenship. The purpose of this project was to enhance networking and collaboration opportunities in developing NASA related research and engineering projects Database will enhance the ability of Arkansas scientists and engineers to build teams to prepare competitive proposals to build infrastructure with NASA.

Fall of 2015 through Spring of 2016, I worked on two separate senior projects - Legacy Financial, LLC and the 2016 Branding Project for local Searcy, Arkansas resturant, Pasta Grille.

Legacy Financial LLC

Legacy Financial Group was theoretically developed to provide retirement plan services to employees of small businesses across the United States. The organization would tailor each retirement plan according to the particular needs of each employee and act as an intermediary between employees and Trustees. This plan will begin to provide retirement education and investment counseling for the mass affluent. Building long-term relationships with our clients serves as the key to long-term success. Our investment strategy includes identifying the specific needs for the employee by identifying their long-term goals for retirement. We then take those goals and develop a tailored investment strategy to help the customer to reach those financial goals.

This project was a top internal contender for the 2016 Arkansas Governor's Cup.

As a member of the Withers Collection Museum and Gallery team, I have served in many capacities outside of my official titles as Museum Manager and Marketing and Communications Administrator. Year one, the focus of my duties included a full review of marketing and branding for the Museum and Gallery, exhibition curation and public relations. While exercising my strengths as Marketing Administrator, I served on the committee for the City of Memphis’ MLK50 Celebrations - representing the Withers Collection.

As the company focus expanded towards increasing the digital footprint of the works of Dr. Withers, key activities such as, volunteer coordination, community engagement and web development became a priority. In 2018, I rebuilt the Withers Collection website, consolidated and managed the Customer Relations Manager, updated and reconstructed all non-profit profiles and aided in the development of on going community engagement programming - including a summer internship program and in-house curriculum.

Year three, my assigned focus became related to all matters concerning Museum retail financial oversight - activities included, but not limited to bank deposits, overseeing the shipping process, and mail liaison. Reconstructing the Museum and Gallery's inventory tracking system and POS.
